Hluboká nad Vltavou, January 16, 2025 – WEDOS Internet, a.s. is pleased to announce the launch of a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Singapore, further expanding the WEDOS Global infrastructure. The new PoP was officially activated on January 16, 2025, at 14:32 CET, introducing advanced ARM-based technologies to enhance the reliability and performance of services provided to customers.
This new location marks the fourteenth Asian site for WEDOS Global and serves as a redundancy for the existing key Singapore location, ensuring high availability and protection of websites and applications against cyber threats, including large-scale DDoS attacks.
Key Features of the New Singapore PoP:
- Advanced Hardware: The new PoP is equipped with an HPE ProLiant RL300 Gen11 server featuring an Ampere Altra Max M128-30 ARM processor. This setup offers 128 CPU cores running at 3.0 GHz, 4 TB of RAM, and up to 160 TB of storage, ensuring high computational performance and efficient management of large data operations.
- Redundancy and Reliability: The ARM-based PoP operates independently from the existing Singapore PoP, which was launched on October 18, 2022, and is based on the HPE Moonshot 1500 with 45 physical servers and 2 switches. This dual setup provides full redundancy and uninterrupted service availability, which is crucial for protection against cyber attacks, including extensive DDoS assaults.
- Increased Capacity and Resilience: The new equipment significantly boosts the network capacity and resilience in Singapore, enabling WEDOS to deliver even higher levels of service and security to its customers in this strategically important technological region.

With the addition of the new PoP in Singapore, WEDOS Global now manages 14 locations across Asia, significantly strengthening our presence in the rapidly growing Asian market.
